Memory Lane!

My friend Megan did this on her blog...so fun!

Here are the directions-
1. As a comment on my blog, leave a memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

(If you don't have a blogger account, leave your name as anonymous and sign your name!)

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you.

Wow! I love your new blog design! It is so cute! I remember how sweet it was of you to come to the Miss Syracuse Pageant to support me when you hardly knew me! Again, thank you... That was so nice!

changed your background, huh?
Well... so many memories to choose from. How about hiding cupcakes in our closet... or seeing that white floating thing in white city.... or dying of humidity in Hawaii.... making visits for compassionate service when we didn't know anyone.... standing in the ice cream aisle, waiting for you to choose a flavor.... watching that thing you do 2 times in a row! There are so many more!

Here's a classic: Being partners for foley catheter pass offs with that stupid mannequin. Need I say more?
Oh, the horrors of nursing school. I don't know how we made it through!

I remember playing with you at Ashlee P's house, in the summertime, in the backyard, and with cabbage patch dolls when we were little! Didn't your mom work at the school or something? You were sweet :)

I remember doing make-overs at Snow together with Laura and Kirsten. We took before and after pictures and my before picture was terrifying! I just loved that we could live together (even if it was just one year) and getting the chance to get to know you. You are such an amazing person! Love ya.

Ok, seriously- nearly everyone I know has this post on theirs right now. It's great. I think I may be the last one to jump on the bandwagon. (And I still haven't done it, yet. Haha).

I don't really remember any specific memories.. but I just remember having lots of fun hanging out with you and all our girls! You've always been so sweet and fun!!

My favorite memory of us was back at Snow in our cooking class and wondering why a cooking class was that hard. Remember when we made hard boiled eggs and talked and talked all class long. Those were the days. Ha.

Kaija- HI! Thanks for the comment on my blog! I am so glad you found me. I love your blog... it looks like you are doing so well! How is your mom? She was my favorite teacher! I was reading and you said that she is now Mrs. Pitts... did she get married!? It will be fun to keep in touch! You are still cute as ever!

Wow, I really have so many memories with you! Nursing school was so hard, we never thought we would make it through. I was so glad we met on the first day, and were friends ever since! But one thing I remember...makes me laugh now, but I so wanted to cry then, was when we gave each other those IM shots. Oh my gosh I was so nervous!! And remember who was passing us off...Scary NANCY!!!!! (Ha ha, its funny you can look back on things like that afterward and laugh. I never thought I would :)

Well, one of many greatest memories was when Kaija and I decided that we were going to make molasses crinkles cookies. We decided to double the batch. Well our math was off and we put 1/2 cup salt instead of 1/2 teaspoons in the cookies. We baked all the cookies. Our families came in and tried them and I don't need to say the rest. Well, Pam and Norman, I believe, played a little trick on us. They handed to us the cookies back and they were about half the size. They tasted fine and we asked them what they did. They told us that they dehydrated the cookies. Knowing both of us we believed them and thought that it was really neat. Well we found out that Pam and Norman really didn't dehydrate the cookies. Instead they went to the store and bought Ginger Snaps and replaced them with our salty cookies. So bottom line don't let me and Kaija bake molasses cookies for you. -Janae Burk

In all honesty, I can't even remember the exact details of actually meeting dear Kaija. But we were at EFY together and she had such a sweet and fun personality - her spirit just shone through and we were friends almost instantly. She and her cute mom came to my wedding (and I loved your recent post about her!) And apparently, now I know we love the same music because I've been listening to her playlist all night! :) Love you, Kaija!

I remember when, at EFY, you and I woke up at like 4:30 a.m. so we could take a shower and avoid the other girls. Little did we know we forgot to turn off our alarm and probably annoyed half the building, haha!

One of my favorites is the memory of you and I at Castles and Coasters in AZ when we rode on that Aladdin's Carpet ride or whatever, where it spun you around? I love how we were the only ones on it, smashed up against each other looking like retards while the operator stared at us... lol!
